Mani khy | executive director
Mani brings over 15 years of experience in philanthropy and global development and is energized by work that unlocks people’s potential and shifts power closer to communities. She previously led grantmaking efforts at First Fruit, and her journey includes serving with the Peace Corps in West Africa. Mani earned her B.A. in anthropology at the University of California at Berkeley and M.S. in management and leadership at Pepperdine University. She is also completing her doctorate in organizational change and leadership. She lives in California with her husband and their two children and are active in their local Hmong and Lao church.
suzanne daniel | board chair
Suzanne cofounded the Pilgrim Foundation in 1997 and now serves as its Board Chair. Over the years, Pilgrim has partnered with nonprofits across the U.S., Africa, Haiti, and China, and has recently leaned into faith-driven impact investing, supporting leaders who are building long-term, community-rooted solutions. She loves walking alongside organizations and learning from the way they serve their communities. Suzanne also serves on the Board of The Gathering, the Impact Foundation, and the Advisory Panel for Sinapis. Suzanne and her husband, Marc, live in Pennsylvania, where they enjoy time with their four kids and two grandchildren.
Jackie Daniel | Domestic Partnership Manager
Jackie is a pediatric-trained occupational therapist who loves helping families and communities thrive. After several years in clinical practice, she supported Pilgrim’s domestic grant reviews and discovered how much she enjoys learning from grantee partners and the stories behind their work. Jackie holds a B.S. in exercise science from Messiah College and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of the Sciences. She and her husband are raising a joyful toddler and are excited to welcome their second child in January 2026.
